Shakedown; slang term for when prison officers raid your cell in an attempt to find contraband. Influenced by the history of the site it was built on, The Dixon Hotel took inspiration from the stories of the old magistrates court and police station to create it's Marriott mark of craft. The policemen drank coffee in tin cups whilst guarding the jail cells, mocking the inmates with their aromatic brews. The coffee symbolises the escape from behind these bars, releasing and uplifting them post imprisonment. And so Shakedown was brewed.
