Enhancing spaces

ArqiAtelier is a multi-disciplinary design workshop that aspires for the designed lifestyle. They are a start up studio who specialise in spatial design, architecture, product design and model making. The brief was to reflect their unique and detailed approach.
The key to understanding a space is to define individual areas within it. Knowing the usage of any one space allows the division of it accordingly, enabling the vision of how spaces best suit the clients, or similarly how a product should be designed to fit within a space. This spatial planning can be applied to any area, either a whole building, an entire room, or maybe even a particular section within a space. This allows ArqiAtelier to create project specific logos and geometric layouts, influenced by the brief, their approach and delivery.
Using this spatial planning as an influence led me to the solution for the symbol that sits at the heart of the ArqiAtelier logo. The symbol represents the space they work within (the outer square), and the understanding of how that space is used (the dividing lines). The division of the space also creates two A’s – reflecting their name.
